Rechtsanwalt Dr. Jörg Brettschneider

The founder and sole proprietor of the firm is Dr. Jörg Brettschneider.
Dr. Jörg Brettschneider studied law at the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, one of Germany’s most elite Universities for Law, and at the University of Cambridge, Queens College, Great Britain. After completing his bachelor degree (LL.B.), an passing the first and second state examinations in 2005 and 2008, Dr. Jörg Brettschneider started his doctoral research at the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg. There he wrote the thesis “The country of origin principle and possible alternatives from an economic point of view" (translated from German, published 2015) and got his PhD degree from Bucerius Law School in 2013. Brettschneider’s PhD studies were partly funded by a full scholarship of the DFG. The dissertation won two awards: Printing grants of the Johanna und Fritz Buch Gedächtnis-Stiftung and the Institute of Law and Economics (DFG-Graduateschool on Law and Economics), University of Hamburg.
Dr. Jörg Brettschneider was admitted to the bar in the year 2013 (Hamburg bar) after working as a legal assistant for different law firms for a number of years and as personal manager for the party leader of the local CDU (Christian Democrats) Peter Harry Carstensen (Prime Minister of the German province Schleswig-Holstein) in the context of an electoral campaign.
Dr. Jörg Brettschneider has extensive experience in the fields of law outlined in B. Legal Services. Dr. Jörg Brettschneider currently represents over 150 companies from China, including
some of Chinas leading companies, and their senior leadership . His knowledge and experience of Chinese overseas ecommerce is unique among German lawyers and consultants.
As well as being a member of the German-Chinese Lawyers Association, Dr. Jörg Brettschneider publishes regularly on the subject of law and ecommerce.
